Hello, my name is Ottoberg and I’ve been working as an indie hentai translator for Wataya’s CG sets on an official basis for the past few years. During this time I’ve been experimenting with various business models to try and expand this process to allow other translators and artists to easily work with one another in a mutually satisfying manner while still remaining largely independent.
I’ve been going through all the steps to set up our own distribution site to help facilitate this, and I would like to start reaching out to fellow members of the translation community to see if we can offer our support. We still have a number of issues to sort out before we’re able to launch our platform and commence sales, however we believe we’re now far enough along to start reaching out to potential collaborators and gauging interest.

Our goals at Mating Press are as follows:
- To provide an environment where indie translators can easily work with artists on an official basis for monetary compensation, reducing the reliance on illegal translation.
- To provide a platform where artists can sell their work free from censorship.
- To provide a place for western NSFW artists to self-publish and commercialize their art alongside their Japanese counterparts.
Who we are looking for:
We’re looking for both individuals and groups who are part of the hentai translation community. This includes Japanese to English translators, typesetters, editors and letterers. We have no need for redrawers as teams will be given the author’s photoshop files with toggleable layers, however redrawers in the scanlation community who are capable of drawing in sound effects are still encouraged to apply for lettering positions. Anyone who wishes to apply can simply link us examples of their previous work, official or otherwise.
We are also looking for any western NSFW artists who wish to commercialise their work for sale on our platform.
